LOCWIND 47 “TAKA”: 2 owners, never chartered!
Fully equipped for offshore sailing, light and well canvassed, this 47-footer is ready to line up on the start line or set off on a long-distance cruise. An exceptional yacht in more ways than one.

The boat
Built as a one-off, this high-end yacht has received particular attention in both design and finish. The quality of her teak joinery is immediately apparent.
Classic lines, balance, performance: this is what defines the Locwind 47, a elegant and refined yacht of the highest class.
Thanks to her fine hull, draft and sail area, she proves to be a very good performer, fast on all points of sail. Her generous beam allows her to carry full sail up to 20 knots of wind.

Her story
Under Dufour ownership, the Locwind yard built exceptional yachts in Charente-Maritime, including the Locwind 47 series. Designed by Mortain & Mavrikios, this one was custom-built for her first owner in 2004. She is hull number 7 of a series of 8 units produced between 2001 and 2004. Configured in the owner’s 3-cabin version, she left France with her first owner in 2004 and arrived in Nouméa in 2007. She then continued cruising the South Pacific and around New Caledonia, until she was acquired by her current owner.

Work carried out since 2019
Since being purchased in 2019, Taka has undergone, in between voyages:
• a complete hull strip-back (2020);
• an engine removal (2020);
• a full electronics refit (2022);
• a complete replacement of the running rigging (2022);
• a full inspection of the standing rigging (2022).
For five years, life aboard was shared between voyages to Vanuatu and a circumnavigation of New Caledonia.

Today
An owner’s boat, never chartered, Taka is looking for her new owner, her new family, to keep cruising the lagoon and far beyond.
